We look at back at team in the mid 1990’s that showed plenty of resplendence and resolve to the N.B.A. The roster featured a reunion of two college teammates from Michigan, Chris Webber and Juwan Howard. They anchored a prominent program to two National Title appearances, that were back to back, and despite coming up without a title, they were renowned and pervasive from the uniforms, socks, and footwear selections. The Nike Huaraches and Air Force Maxes, subsequently worn the next season are still considered grail items amongst sneaker enthusiasts and influencers today.
The team had another reunion, with Mark Price signed to the team to join his brother Brent Price. The Bullets also drafted Rasheed Wallace from the University of North Carolina. They were upheld by the solid all star play of Juwan, who average 22 points, and reserve Calbert Chaney, however Chris Webber was ultimately quiescent due to a hampering injury, as well as Mark Price. The team would miss the play offs slightly but the following season would be of a playoff birth.
